Product Overview

The MOC3051M, MOC3052M, and MOC3053M are 6-pin DIP optoisolators manufactured by onsemi (formerly part of Fairchild Semiconductor). Each device consists of a GaAs infrared-emitting diode optically coupled to a non-zero-crossing silicon bilateral AC switch (triac). These components are designed to isolate low-voltage logic circuits from 115 VAC and 240 VAC power lines, enabling the random-phase control of high-current triacs or thyristors. They feature enhanced static dv/dt capability to ensure stable switching performance when driving inductive loads.
