Product Overview
The LM237 and LM337 are adjustable 3-terminal negative-voltage regulators capable of supplying in excess of -1.5 A over an output voltage range of -1.2 V to -37 V. Designed for ease of use, these devices require only two external resistors to set the output voltage and one output capacitor for frequency compensation. They are optimized for applications requiring negative output voltage or precision current regulation, such as portable equipment and consumer electronics.
Important Features
-
Adjustable Output: The output voltage is adjustable from -1.2 V to -37 V.
-
High Output Current: Capable of supplying in excess of 1.5 A of output current.
-
Robust Protection: Features internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation, making the devices virtually immune to failure from overloads.
-
Excellent Regulation: Provides excellent load and line regulation, with input regulation typically at 0.01% per input-voltage change and output regulation typically at 0.3%.
-
Ripple Rejection: Offers a typical ripple rejection of 77 dB.
