Product Overview

The L6565 is a current-mode primary controller IC specifically designed to build off-line Quasi-resonant (QR) Zero-Voltage-Switching (ZVS) flyback converters. Quasi-resonant operation is achieved by sensing transformer demagnetization to trigger the MOSFET's turn-on. The device includes advanced features such as line voltage feed-forward to ensure constant power delivery regardless of mains variations and frequency foldback to maintain high efficiency at light loads. It also provides comprehensive protection, including pulse-by-pulse and hiccup-mode overcurrent protection (OCP).
