Product Overview
The IN1307 is a low-power, binary-coded decimal (BCD) real-time clock and calendar chip integrated with 56 bytes of battery-backed static RAM. It tracks time and date details—including seconds, minutes, hours, day of the week, date, month, and year—with automatic leap-year compensation valid up to the year 2100.
The device communicates via a standard two-wire serial interface and features an automatic power-fail sensing circuit that switches seamlessly to a backup battery supply during power drops. In this backup mode, the clock continues to operate with an ultra-low current consumption of less than 500 nA. Additionally, the chip provides a programmable square-wave output signal for flexible system clocking.
