Product Overview

The ILX485 is a low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communication manufactured by IK SEMICON. It incorporates one driver and one receiver designed for half-duplex applications to route and regulate digital data transitions safely across transmission lines up to a 10 Mbps data rate. The device delivers short-circuit current limiting and thermal shutdown protection against excessive power dissipation, maintains a fail-safe receiver input feature that guarantees a logic-high output if the input circuit is left open, and is highly efficient for minimizing power consumption by drawing a low supply current between 120µA and 500µA.
