Product Overview: The HEF4016B consists of four independent analogue switches (transmission gates). Each switch features two bidirectional input/output terminals (Y and Z) and an active-HIGH enable input (E). When the enable input is connected to VDD, a low-impedance bidirectional path between the Y and Z terminals is established (ON condition). Conversely, when connected to VSS, the switch is disabled and a high impedance is presented between the terminals (OFF condition). Typical applications cover analogue multiplexing and demultiplexing, digital multiplexing and demultiplexing, and signal gating.
