Product Overview

The CD4514B is a CMOS 4-bit latch combined with a 4-to-16 line decoder. It is designed to store the state of the 4-bit input data when the "strobe" input transitions from high to low, holding that data until the next strobe cycle. The device then decodes this latched 4-bit value to drive one of sixteen mutually exclusive outputs high (the CD4515B is the functional equivalent but drives the selected output low).
