Product Overview

The CD4042B is a CMOS quad clocked "D" latch comprising four latch circuits, all controlled by a common clock. It provides complementary buffered outputs  for each latch, with balanced n- and p-channel output impedances. Data transfer to the outputs is governed by the POLARITY input, which determines whether the latch is transparent during a high or low clock level. Upon the opposite clock transition, the state at the inputs is retained at the outputs, providing reliable data storage.
