The BFW10 is a classic N-Channel junction field-effect transistor (JFET) designed for high-input-impedance applications. As a depletion-mode device, it is normally "ON" at zero gate-source voltage ($V_{GS} = 0$) and requires a negative gate voltage to reduce the drain current. Its high input impedance and low noise characteristics make it an excellent choice for low-noise preamplifiers, high-impedance buffers, and RF/VHF amplifier stages.
