Product Overview

The 74S174 (and its LS/standard variants) is a hex D-type flip-flop device. It contains six independent D-type flip-flops with a common clock and a common asynchronous direct clear input. The device is designed for high-speed data storage; when the clock input transitions from LOW to HIGH, the logic level present at each data (D) input is transferred to the corresponding Q output. The asynchronous clear input, when pulled LOW, resets all outputs to a LOW state, regardless of the clock or data inputs.
