Product Overview

The SN54/74LS155 and SN54/74LS156 are high-speed dual 1-of-4 decoder/demultiplexers. These devices feature two separate decoders with common 2-bit address inputs and independent gated enable inputs.

Decoder "a" is equipped with an enable gate containing one active-HIGH and one active-LOW input, while Decoder "b" contains two active-LOW enable inputs. When the enabling conditions are met, the selected output for each decoder transitions to a LOW logic state based on the provided address inputs.

The SN54/74LS156 variant is designed with open-collector outputs, making it ideal for wired-OR (DOT-AND) decoding configurations and custom function generator applications.
