Product Overview

The CD74HCT147 is a high-speed CMOS logic 10-line to 4-line priority encoder. It accepts nine active-LOW data  encodes them into a 4-bit active-LOW BCD (Binary-Coded Decimal) output. By utilizing an implied decimal "zero" condition (when all nine inputs are HIGH, the output defaults to the zero state), it effectively converts 10 lines of decimal data down to a 4-line BCD format. As a priority encoder, it ensures that if multiple lines are asserted simultaneously, only the highest-order data input is recognized and encoded.
